A delicious homemade version of the classic Big Mac burger.
Ingredients

- 1/2 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 sesame seed burger buns
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 6 dill pickle slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Mix mayonnaise, relish, mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to make the Big Mac sauce and chill it.
- Toast the top bun, bottom bun, and middle bun layer in butter until golden.
- Form ground beef into two very thin patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Spread sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, pickles, cheese, and the first patty.
- Add the middle bun, more sauce, lettuce, and the second patty.
- Finish with the top bun, press gently, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, consider adding hot sauce to the Big Mac sauce.
- Letting the sauce chill for a while enhances the flavor.
