Description
A delightful strawberry cheesecake trifle made with fresh strawberries, cream cheese, and ladyfingers.

- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 cup strawberry jam or preserves
- 16 ladyfingers (Savoiardi style)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for soaking)
Instructions
- Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries. Set aside half for garnish.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Slightly warm the strawberry jam and mix in a few chopped strawberries. Let cool.
- Line the bottom of an 8×8 dish with ladyfingers. Lightly dip in milk if needed.
- Spread a layer of cheesecake cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Spoon the strawberry jam mixture on top and add sliced strawberries.
- Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers, cream, and strawberry jam.
- Finish with a thick layer of cream on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Before serving, garnish with whole strawberries, mint leaves, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
- For best results, let the trifle set overnight to allow flavors to meld.
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for optimal flavor.
