Description

A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu with fresh lemon flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 24 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
  • 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Brew coffee or espresso and mix in limoncello.
  2. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale; gradually add mascarpone until smooth.
  3. Fold in lemon zest and juice.
  4. Briefly dip ladyfingers into the coffee-limoncello mix and layer them in a dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers; repeat layers.
  6. Dust with cocoa powder and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

  • This dessert can be made a day ahead to enhance flavors.
